Come with questions, leave with a plan

If we don’t plan our own funeral, someone else will have to do it for us.

In this powerful 3-hour session, I will guide you through the essential choices that shape your end-of-life experience. From the logistics of disposition and ceremony, to your wishes around environment, music, ritual, and legacy - to deeper things, like your relationship with pain and your fears.

Let’s face an uncomfortable truth:

If you don’t plan your funeral, someone else will be left to do it for you.

And that someone will likely be grieving.
They may be unprepared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what you would’ve wanted. I’ve seen it too many times. Families fighting, struggling, second-guessing decisions because no clear direction was ever given.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

That’s why I created this new class, Dead Set. It is a 3 hour live zoom where we’ll do the courageous and compassionate work of planning what we want for our own end. SO our loved ones don't have to do it for us.

Is this morbid, you might ask?

Spending an afternoon considering our own death?

Perhaps, but only if you are naive to the reality that everybody dies, and new to the concept that the way we do that matters.

By planning our own end of life experience, we take back a little bit of control, which can be comforting at the end, when we are loosing control of everything.

By planning our own death, we ensure that our wishes are honored.

By planning ahead in this sensitive but serious way - we are giving those we love a path - a set of directions to follow. To know what to do when my time comes - not to be long in both grief and logistics at once.

This class is a gift  - for those you love.

Consider…

  • If you don’t plan your own funeral, who will have to do it for you?

  • What legacy do you want to leave behind?

  • What would bring comfort to the people you love most?

  • What scares you about death?

  • Do you want to be remembered in ritual, in silence, in celebration?

  • What kind of ceremony would you feel honored by?

  • What do you want to happen to your body after you die?
