Community & Professional Offerings
Death touches every community.
Most of us are unprepared for how to talk about it, how to grieve together, or how to hold one another when loss arrives.
My work exists to change that.
I offer educational talks, facilitated conversations, and structured grief support for community spaces, wellness environments, and professional organizations. These offerings are grounded, humane, and accessible. Designed to meet people where they are, without fear or morbidity.
I’ve spent over a decade walking hundreds of individuals and families through death and dying, teaching thousands through classes and workshops, and speaking in settings ranging from intimate circles to national stages, including a TEDx talk. This work is not theoretical. It is lived, practiced, and deeply relational.
Community Education & Public Talks
Libraries · Faith Communities · Senior Centers · Community Groups
These offerings are designed to bring death literacy, grief awareness, and meaningful conversation into public spaces, where people already gather to learn and reflect.
Talks are educational, non-dogmatic, and appropriate for general audiences. They reduce fear, normalize grief, and open space for honest conversation.
Possible topics include:
Talking About Death Without Fear
Grief as a Communal Experience (and Why We’re Missing It)
Preparing for Death as an Act of Love
Legacy Beyond Paperwork: What We Leave Behind
Death Across Cultures: Ritual, Meaning, and Memory
Living Well by Remembering We Die
Community talks are often offered at no cost as a service to the public and a way to make this education accessible.
Wellness & Contemplative Spaces
Yoga Studios · Meditation Centers · Retreats
In wellness spaces, I offer mortality-based contemplative practices that deepen presence, embodiment, and meaning, without disrupting the integrity of the space.
One common offering is a guided mortality (death) contemplation meditation, often woven into savasana, followed by an optional group reflection circle. These practices are calm, grounding, and frequently described as life-affirming rather than hard.
Offerings may include:
Guided Mortality Contemplation + Reflection Circle
Grief, Loss, and the Body
Impermanence as a Teacher
Ritual, Meaning, and Embodied Presence
These sessions can be offered as part of a regular class, a special event, or a workshop.
Professional Partnerships
Estate Planners · Attorneys · Financial Professionals
I often collaborate with estate planning firms and related professionals who want to offer their clients a more holistic experience.
While legal professionals address documents and logistics, I help clients engage with the human side of planning; mortality, legacy, family dynamics, and the conversations paperwork alone cannot hold.
These offerings are typically part of client appreciation events or educational workshops and are offered on a paid basis.
Common topics include:
Beyond the Documents: The Human Side of Estate Planning
Legacy Beyond Assets
Talking About Death Before It’s an Emergency
Preparing for Death as a Gift to Loved Ones
This work consistently deepens client trust and engagement and is experienced as a meaningful value-add.
Workplace Grief Support
HR Departments · Leadership Teams · Organizations
When an employee dies - on the job or outside of it - grief enters the workplace whether there is a plan for it or not. HR teams are often left holding something deeply human with few clear tools.
I offer structured, compassionate workplace grief support that helps organizations respond with care, without destabilizing operations.
Services may include:
Facilitating memorial or remembrance services for staff
Optional grief support circles (in-person or virtual)
Guidance for leadership on communication after a death
Short-term grief education for teams
Consultation on humane protocols around employee death
This work is not therapy and not crisis intervention. It is practical, ethical support that helps people grieve while allowing organizations to move forward with integrity.
A complimentary consultation is available to assess needs. Services are offered on a paid basis and tailored to the situation.
A Note on Approach
My work is grounded, non-dogmatic, and deeply respectful of diverse beliefs. I do not offer answers about death; I offer space, language, and structure for people to meet it honestly.
If you are interested in bringing this work into your community, organization, or professional setting, I’d be glad to explore what might serve best.
